I spent most of yesterday trying to get the video podcast to work. It’s super hard. Apple put out a page of instructions, but they don’t realize how hard STEP 9 is. Getting Feedster to recognize my m4v file is impossible!!! Perhaps it does, but iTunes 6.0.1 certainly doesn’t!
One thing I did notice from all my tinkering yesterday was that the mp4 format is definitely inferior to the m4v format. Not only does it look more pixelated during movement, but it is also larger in file size. So before you waste anymore time and future effort re-compressing everything, go with m4v.
My video-enabled IPod came in this afternoon straight from Shanghai to Anchorage to Indianapolis to me here in Honolulu. I got the 60GB ipod. It is pretty much the same size as my current 4G 20 GB black and white IPod so I don’t know where the 12% smaller claim comes from. Regardless, […]
