Meeting recently with Ching, I learned that online payments with credit cards are quite common in Taiwan, especially on sites such as PCHome and books.com. Second to online payments are payments made at local 7-11s. Ching mentioned this method of payment requires vendors to give as much as a 30% cut to 7-11. Ouch.
