Reiki Share

Jennifer’s reiki share in San Jose made for a wonderful evening. In all, there were six individuals, 3 men and 3 women who all received reiki for 10 minutes and gave reiki for 50. The venue was very comfortable for reiki, with a reiki table, soft music, and dimmed lights.

As I lay on the table, I could feel the warm reiki energy coming from 5 pairs of hands. It felt so incredibly warm and loving. Rebecca commented on seeing an image of tea lights being set on the water, in lotus flowers. They wondered if it was a ceremony performed in China, Taiwan, or India.  I allowed myself to let go and feel the incredible love I had for all of them. After my session was finished, Jennifer said that she heard the words “sacred” and “revered” over and over again, she felt the presence of a divine energy.

Once everyone had received their treatments, we sat in chairs in a circle and envisioned a great big orb of energy in the center and placed blessings and reiki requests into it. Then it was sent up into the light, to the universe.

What a wonderful evening, everyone present was relaxed and cheerful with each other.

Reiki Meetup

I believe an active reiki community is essential to both personal growth with reiki and the growth of reiki awareness in the world. So with that in mind, I started a weekly meetup group whose goal is to encourage reiki practitioners to share their experiences with one another. Tomorrow’s “Reiki Happy Hour” at a coffee shop in my neighborhood will be our first gathering. Wish us luck and reiki!

Reiki for a Severe Cold

Having spent 12 hours in a sealed car with two sick passengers this past weekend, I inevitably caught the bug. Thursday was by far the worst of it with runny nose, sneezing, a congested chest, and a sore throat. As soon as I returned home from work and had dinner, I placed both my hands over each side of my neck. The warmth of the reiki energy flowed through and soon, my throat felt warm and protected and the fierce pain on swallowing was gone.

With the next day being an important one, I lay down and dozed off early. At 5 am. I awoke and felt a great opportunity for reiki. I began by placing my palms over my lungs and the reiki flowed readily to them. I placed my palms over my throat and the energy moved effortlessly there as well. Then, I placed one hand over my abdomen and the other over my forehead and the energy continued to flow strong. The self-treatment was extraordinary and I began to wonder whether 5 am in the morning wasn’t the best time of day for reiki!

Regardless, the treatment was enough for me to beat the bug and get to work that day. I love that reiki lets you be proactive in taking care of your body and well-being.
